DJI ALERT Department of Interior grounds Chinesemade drones

They approved ‘em mere months ago and now they’re putting ‘em back on the ground. Yep, the DOI wants to ground all drones either made in China or with Chinese-made parts inside them until it conducts a review of its booming UAV program. You’ll probably find this really interesting though — they’ve made an exception for any aircraft being used in emergency situations (like fighting
wildfires or search and rescue). The big concern here is of course privacy.  National security experts have warned that drone manufacturers are collecting an insane amount of data on us. The Department of Homeland Security also issued a warning about all this earlier in the summer. You can bet we’ll be following this one closely!
